Commissioning Music
We love to perform new music, and are passionate about developing and expanding the harp duo repertoire. A large part of our work as a duo is commissioning and working alongside composers to enable new pieces to come to life. In particular, we love to work on music that challenges the Western Classical stereotype of the concert harp, and helps to engage new audiences with this amazing instrument.

Ailie Robertson
Completed and premiered at the start of 2025, Ailie's piece Huldufolk is a three movement work exploring Scottish, Nordic and Finnish folklore.
i. The Blue Men of the Minch
ii. Metsanpiika (Forest Girl)
iii. Panu (Fire Spirit)
We would like to thank the Ralph Vaughan Williams Trust and Creative Scotland for their generous funding. We look forward to recording and releasing this work in the next month.
Supriya Nagarajan and Haribaskar Ganesan
Inspired by the monsoon season in Mumbai, this composition winds through a number of ragas (Indian scales) building in rhythmic diversity, with sudden outbursts of melody and improvisatory moments. Supriya is a singer-composer trained, since the age of 5, in Carnatic (classical South Indian) vocal music in Bombay (Mumbai). Hari is a contemporary classical composer, influenced heavily by the Indian Carnatic tradition.
We'd like to thank Britten Pears Arts for their creative residency programme, on which this composition was written and developed.

Amy Turk
Amy's Odyssey Trilogy draws upon her experience of synesthesia, and exploration of Greek Mythology. The pieces are rhythmically complex, making use of Amy's signature percussive harp techniques.
i. Bronze
ii. Silver
iii. Gold
These pieces were first performed live on BBC Radio 3's In Tune, and then in full at The Buxton International Festival. We are grateful to Help Musicians for their Do it differently fund, which enabled this commission.
You can find recordings of these movements on our media page.

Claire Victoria Roberts
Claire Victoria Roberts is a composer, vocalist and violinist, blurring the boundaries of jazz, classical and folk genres. The Welsh-born artist draws upon her diverse influences through improvised vocals, Celtic fiddle music, and lyrical jazz and classical styles.
Her piece Rain on the roof drops quotations of this iconic jazz standard into an ambient backdrop of soft harp textures.
We are grateful to The Marchus trust for their funding of this work, and look forward to recording and releasing this piece later in the year.
